If Joe Flacco’s recent run with the Cleveland Browns has shown us something, it is that you can never count a veteran out.
Considering that, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see that multiple teams could be interested in making a run at Russell Wilson.
The former Super Bowl champion had an infamous two-year tenure with the Denver Broncos, and he’s expected to be released in the offseason after being benched for the final two games of the year.
With that in mind, ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler reports that the Atlanta Falcons, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New England Patriots could pursue him in the offseason.

The Falcons realized that the Desmond Ridder experiment had no future, and they didn’t seem to trust Taylor Heinicke either, so adding a veteran and proven dual-threat QB would make sense.
They already have building blocks in Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, and Wilson was at his best when he played with an established running game.
The Steelers still don’t seem to know what they have on their hands with Kenny Pickett, who has shown glimpses of solid play but has also been unimpressive more often than not.
Needless to say, they also need to reshape their offensive staff.
As for the Patriots, they could be the most intriguing destination, as there are rumors of Bill Belichick being on his way out.
On top of that, he should also consider that they don’t have any good skill players around whoever suits up at quarterback for them.
