The Minnesota Vikings made waves recently by signing All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson to a four-year deal worth $140 million.
$110 million of that will be guaranteed.
This deal has the potential to set off a chain reaction for other star receivers to get massive deals.
ESPN’s Bill Barnwell recently named five wide receivers who have the opportunity to surpass Jefferson’s contract eventually.
“Now that Jefferson has reset the market, though, the Cowboys will probably need to pay Lamb even more than his Vikings counterpart to get his deal done…The same will be true for Chase and, down the line, Garrett Wilson, Chris Olave and Nacua,” Barnwell stated.
Per @billbarnwell, he believes #Vikings WR Justin Jefferson’s $35M APY will eventually be surpassed by WRs:
1️⃣ #Cowboys CeeDee Lamb
2️⃣ #Bengals Ja’Marr Chase
3️⃣ #Jets Garret Wilson
4️⃣ #Saints Chris Olave
5️⃣ #Rams Puka Nacua“Now that Jefferson has reset the market, though, the… pic.twitter.com/nKYoUwoE4Z

The hope for this next crop of wide receivers is that they make over Jefferson’s $35 million average per year in their next contract.
Each of the receivers listed definitely deserve major money too.
With Jefferson being arguably the best wide receiver in the league, Lamb is one of the best in the league too.
He led the league in receptions last season (135).
Ja’Marr Chase has made three consecutive Pro Bowls for the Cincinnati Bengals.
With Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball to two-time 1,000-yard wide receiver Garrett Wilson in New York, look for Wilson to get paid nicely.
Saints wide receiver Chris Olave, like Wilson, has recorded 1,000 yards in back-to-back seasons and will soon be due a major contract.
Farther down the road, Rams All-Pro wide receiver and record-holder Puka Nacua will get major money too.
All five of these receivers could very well get paid major money if their production continues.
