With the Arizona Cardinals headed toward a very disappointing end to the 2023 NFL season, veteran tight end Zach Ertz decided it was time to make a change because it seems highly unlikely he’ll be able to contend for a Super Bowl title if he stayed with the team any longer with him being in the twilight of his career.
As a result of Ertz’s desire for a change of scenery and to potentially contend for a title this season, he requested the Cardinals waive him, which they ended up doing earlier this week.
On Friday, Ertz officially passed through waivers unclaimed, which means he’s officially a free agent and able to sign with any team on the open market.
Ertz has let it be known that he wants to contend for a title with his next team, and as a result, that has made his list of suitors quite short, to say the least.
According to Jordan Schultz of Bleacher Report, Ertz currently has four teams interested in his services, and all of them will presumably be in the NFL playoffs, with most of them being legitimate Super Bowl title contenders moving forward, via B/R Gridiron.

All four teams are intriguing landing spots for Ertz, but perhaps the most intriguing of the four is the Baltimore Ravens, who recently lost star tight end Mark Andrews to a season-ending injury.
With the Ravens looking like one of the best teams in the league right now, especially on the offensive side of the football, Ertz could come in and make an impact right away.
The Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Philadelphia Eagles will all make strong cases for bringing in the veteran tight end as well.
