After the Las Vegas Raiders fired previous head coach Josh McDaniels, it was like a fog was lifted from the franchise as they struggled the past one-and-a-half seasons.
McDaniels and former general manager Dave Ziegler were clearly leading the Raiders in the wrong decision, so owner Mark Davis made the decision to cut both of them loose.
The change was much-needed and fans rejoiced once the moves were officially announced.
Since then, the vibe has been much more positive as Las Vegas has won two consecutive games under interim head coach Antonio Pierce.
Pierce has been a stabilizing force in the locker room and has empowered the players to be themselves which has paid off in spades.
In fact, the players have reportedly taken control of the team via Dianna Russini of The Athletic.
“The players have taken this place over. Ownership is fine with it too,” Russini said.

It might seem like anarchy for the players to take over an organization, but with the team winning it looks like officials are willing to let it ride if it means more success.
Pierce may not have previous head coaching experience at the NFL level, but he understands that the players are what matters the most and is making sure they’re happy and feeling like they have ownership of themselves is an overall good thing.
Although Las Vegas has a tough game ahead of themselves against the Miami Dolphins, they are playing with much more swagger and confidence and that could make them a sneaky opponent for opposing teams the rest of the way.
