The Arizona Diamondbacks made it all the way to the World Series with a flawed roster, but one filled with young, talented players in the lineup and the rotation.
It became clear, at one point, that they needed more help to take the next step.
The team went out and secured an excellent pitcher this week in Eduardo Rodriguez.
E-Rod, who had a 3.30 ERA this past season, will give the D-Backs an excellent top-four in the rotation alongside Zac Gallen, Merrill Kelly, and Brandon Pfaadt.
But pitching is not the only thing they needed.
Before the Rodriguez acquisition, they had traded for third baseman Eugenio Suarez, who will replace free agent Evan Longoria in the lineup.
Now, Arizona is looking to add more power to their batting order, and have a reported target.
“The #Dbacks are reportedly interested in OF/DH Jorge Soler, per Ken Rosenthal,” Diamondbacks insider Alex D’Agostino tweeted.

Jorge Soler spent the entire 2023 season with the Miami Marlins.
He was their home run leader this past season with 36 home runs.
That’s incredibly impressive: not every hitter is capable of belting 36 home runs while playing half of his games in the tough loanDepot Park.
But he did it, and likely earned a significant amount of money in the process.
Soler hit a cool .250/.341/.512 with 36 homers, 24 doubles, and an excellent .853 OPS with the Marlins in just 137 games.
He would make for a fine addition to a surging lineup that has NL Rookie of the Year Corbin Carroll, Gabriel Moreno, Ketel Marte, Christian Walker, Suarez, and others.
