The quarterback position is arguably the most important position in all of sports.
So, when there are possibly six quarterbacks that might be drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft this year, that says a lot about how crucial it is that a team has someone they can trust under center.
Now, will there actually be six quarterbacks that go in the first round on Thursday night?
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, there will be.
“Right now sitting here I would say six quarterbacks go in round one. That’s in part because this is a unique class…You have more teams right now that need quarterbacks than there are quarterbacks to be taken,” Pelissero told “The Dan Patrick Show” Monday.

Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, Michael Penix Jr., and Bo Nix are the hot names right now.
The first five names have dominated the talk all draft season long.
If people can take into account the amount of teams that need new quarterbacks, six is very plausible.
The Bears, Commanders, Patriots, Vikings, Raiders, Broncos, and possibly even the Giants might need one.
Then, there are the teams such as the Rams or maybe even the Cowboys that might want a developmental prospect.
So, it is definitely fair to say that this first round is going to be crazy when it comes to quarterbacks.
That also means that there is a real opportunity for talented teams like the Jets, Chargers, Falcons, Jaguars, and Bengals to be aggressive and draft key players since they already have quarterbacks.
Just buckle up NFL fans.
