Believe it or not, the Cincinnati Bengals have a legitimate chance to make the AFC playoffs.
They’ve won two consecutive games and are tied with five other 7-6 teams for one of two wildcard spots – all of this with Jake Browning at quarterback instead of Joe Burrow.
Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase will undoubtedly play a big role however the Bengals fair in the final month of the season, but he picked up a lower-body injury in Cincinnati’s 34-14 Week 14 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Chase was limited to only three catches on four targets for 29 yards in the win.
The Bengals didn’t reveal any injury to Chase until this week and the third-year wide receiver missed Tuesday’s practice with what one report called an ankle injury.
However, NFL Network Ian Rapoport said he doesn’t expect the injury – which he categorized as a heel injury – to keep Chase off the field for Week 15 against the Minnesota Vikings.

Much like the Bengals’ season, Chase has endured a very up-and-down season.
But he still has 89 receptions for 1,092 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games.
Chase even put up incredible numbers with Browning in Week 13 when he caught 11 of 12 targets for 149 yards and a touchdown.
Browning has proven to be an adept replacement for Burrow, who is out for the season with a wrist injury, but the backup quarterback needs his star receiver to be fully healthy if the Bengals are to make a postseason push.
As it sounds, though, Chase is just resting his body ahead of a critical match against the Vikings this weekend.
