With a 7-8 record, the Las Vegas Raiders are hanging on to an outside hope of claiming a wild-card spot in the AFC.
They have won their last two games in a row, which included an impressive 20-14 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day.
They won both games without the services of running back Josh Jacobs, who has been dealing with a quad injury.
Chances are he will miss a third game in a row, as the Raiders have listed him as doubtful for this weekend’s game versus the Indianapolis Colts, per Adam Schefter.

This contest at the Colts will be huge, as the Colts have an 8-7 record and are seventh in the AFC, while Las Vegas is in 11th place.
Thus, Las Vegas is on the verge of being knocked out of contention for a playoff spot.
After leading the NFL in rushing yards in 2022, Jacobs has had a somewhat disappointing season with just 805 rushing yards on an average of 3.5 yards per rush attempt through 13 games.
There was a trickle of optimism a little bit earlier this season when Josh McDaniels was fired as head coach and replaced by Antonio Pierce, after which the team won two games in a row.
Regardless of how this season concludes, the Raiders do have some building blocks for next season and beyond.
Wide receiver Davante Adams is still one of the best in the league at his position, while Maxx Crosby is an outstanding pass rusher.
But Jacobs is a question mark, as he will be a free agent at the end of the season.
After holding out in training camp, he agreed to a one-year contract to remain with Las Vegas for this year.
