Everything that could’ve gone wrong for the New York Giants this season has gone wrong.
Just a handful of plays after making his return from a neck injury, QB Daniel Jones reportedly tore his ACL.
Unsurprisingly, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that Jones will now likely miss the remainder of the season.

Jones underwent an MRI early on Monday to reveal the extent of the injury suffered during Sunday’s 30-6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
To make things even worse, the Giants had also lost backup QB Tyrod Taylor, placing him on the Injured Reserve (IR) list after suffering a rib cage injury last week.
It’s still unknown whether Taylor will be able to come back at some point this season after being rushed to the hospital last week.
Jones had already missed three games with an injured neck and he had been the target of plenty of criticism for his uneven play after signing a 4-year deal worth $160 million in the offseason.
It’s also worth noting that $35.5 million of his salary is fully guaranteed for the upcoming campaign, and considering the fact that he suffered the injury midway through this season, there are reasons to believe he won’t be able to make his return in time for the start of next year.
In the meantime, undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito will handle the reins of the offense on Brian Daboll’s team, at least until they find a more suitable replacement.
