The New York Giants couldn’t hold on and beat the New York Jets, but it’s not all bad news for the organization.
According to Mike Garafolo and Ryan Dunleavy, starting QB Daniel Jones has finally been cleared for contact and is expected to be back on the field for their Sunday clash vs. the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jones has missed the past three games while nursing a neck injury, and he hasn’t been able to go through a full practice ever since.
A report by ESPN states that Jones was cleared for contact just hours before his team lost to the Jets in overtime.
Brian Daboll’s team could definitely use a hand in the passing game.
Backup QB Tyrod Taylor was rushed to the hospital after suffering a rib injury in the game vs. the Jets, all while undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito took the reins.
The outcome was as bad as expected, with him going 2 for 7 for minus -1 yards, and the franchise had its worst passing outing ever with minus-9 passing yards as a whole.
The Giants had been quite cautious with Jones’ injury, and understandably so, as he had already missed a big chunk of the 2021 season with a similar ailment.
It’s been a tough season for the Giants, who were expected to be in the mix for a playoff spot after an impressive first year under Brian Daboll.
They’re currently averaging a league-worst 11.9 points per game, with Jones throwing just two touchdown passes with five interceptions this season; not what you’d expect from a guy who just got a four-year, $160 million deal which included $84 million guaranteed.
