The Philadelphia Eagles head into a critical moment Monday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.
A win would quiet the concerns that this team is not a Super Bowl contender despite making the big game a year ago, while a loss could call into question the viability of Nick Sirianni as the right head coach for the Eagles.
Those questions could surely surface after Monday night’s game, but NFL insider Jay Glazer isn’t so sure any rumors have merit when it comes to Sirianni’s job security in the event of a loss.
“I’m not hearing that he’s out [if they lose],” Glazer said, via NFL on FOX Podcast.
Even if the #Eagles lose, @JayGlazer says Nick Sirianni is not on the hot seat.

Sirianni took the Eagles to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons as head coach – including 2023.
His team was bounced quickly by the Tom Brady-led Buccaneers in 2022 before a meteoric rise to the Super Bowl this past season.
The Eagles lost both its offensive and defensive coordinators, Shane Steichen and Jonathan Gannon, but nevertheless started the 2023 season 10-1 before a horrific 1-5 end to the season.
The team looked lost especially during defeats at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants in Weeks 17 and 18 and had almost no positive momentum heading into the playoffs.
Star wide receiver A.J. Brown was also lost for the Wild Card game after he suffered a knee injury this past week.
But at the very least, it appears as though Sirianni’s job is still safe even if the Eagles are bounced from the playoffs after one game.
