The Las Vegas Raiders have officially started to clean house.
After losing to the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football, the Raiders fired their head coach and GM, leaving both positions vacant.
Antonio Pierce is slated to be the team’s interim head coach, moving over from his position as linebackers coach.
As the Raiders look ahead to the future, a strong new head coach will likely be one of the first decisions the organization makes.
Benjamin Allbright has recently pointed to Eric Bienemy and Jim Harbaugh as two candidates that Mark Davis could be interested in.
I don’t know if the Raiders have started a “short list” per se, which would be disrespectful to Antonio Pierce at this juncture, but I know Mark Davis is intrigued by both Jim Harbaugh and Eric Bieniemy

As Allbright mentioned, this short list does not include Pierce, who he does not want to slight with these comments.
However, Pierce doesn’t have the experience of Harbaugh and Bieniemy, a major reason for Allbright suggesting them as the front-runners.
Bienemy is the current offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders, a new role for him after leaving the Kansas City Chiefs.
Many expected him to jockey for a head coaching role in the 2023 offseason, which he seemingly declined.
If things don’t go well for him this year for the Commanders, he could try his hand in Vegas, hoping to get this team on the right track.
Harbaugh is currently in hot water with the University of Michigan.
His standing with the school is currently in jeopardy, and some believe he will retreat to the NFL for solace.
The Raiders could be a likely destination for Harbaugh, should he choose to come back to the NFL.
