The Cincinnati Bengals entered the offseason with a few pressing questions at hand.
Fans were concerned about the possibility of the team moving on from one of their top receivers, as Tee Higgins had expressed concern with the organization, allegedly requesting a trade from the organization.
While there have been rumors that Higgins was going to be traded, it appears that he is sticking with the team for one more year.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Bengals reportedly do not want to trade Higgins, who just announced at a youth camp that he is likely staying with the organization for at least one more year.
The #Bengals have made clear behind the scenes they have no plans to trade Higgins. Want another run at a Super Bowl with Ja’Marr Chase and Higgins on the outside. https://t.co/hJzOCHdrjn

This is great news for the Bengals and their fans, who, as Fowler highlights, now have another chance to make a Super Bowl run with Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase as their best-receiving options.
Breaking through in a crowded AFC is tough enough as it is, and if the Bengals were to enter the 2024 season with just Chase as their primary receiver, they could get themselves into a lot of trouble.
It will be interesting to see if the Bengals try to re-sign Higgins to a contract extension after the 2024 campaign or if they will primarily focus their efforts on paying Chase, who is viewed as a top-five receiver in the league.
Regardless of their future plans, the important thing is that the Bengals are reportedly keeping the band together for one more season, which should, in theory, help them compete at a high level.
