To say that the 2023 NFL season has been a wild ride for the Minnesota Vikings would be a huge understatement.
The team wasn’t expected to compete at the highest level, as they had parted ways with several of their most prominent players.
Then, all of a sudden, and with Justin Jefferson on the shelf with an injury, Kirk Cousins started playing at an MVP level and put his team on his shoulders to lead them right back to postseason contention.
Cousins then suffered a season-ending injury, and they now have Josh Dobbs playing as well as the best of them, so their postseason hopes are pretty much alive.
With that in mind, it seems like we’ll get to see Jefferson back on the field this season, as opposed to the reports that suggested that they might shut him down for the year because they didn’t have a chance to make the playoffs.
Recently, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported that Jefferson is inching closer to a return.
#Vikings star WR Justin Jefferson is “very close” to returning from his hamstring injury, per source, but the team will play it safe and not activate him for tonight’s game vs. Chicago.

However, the Vikings will look to play it safe with the LSU product and won’t activate him for Monday night’s divisional clash with the Chicago Bears.
Then again, he’s expected to be back to full strength after their bye week to play vs. the Las Vegas Raiders.
Notably, that’s in line with the original timeline they had given him, and with the Vikings still hanging onto the hope of taking down the Detroit Lions for a divisional pennant, he’s going to give them a huge boost.
