Throughout the MLB season and into the offseason, everyone wants to know where Shohei Ohtani may end up.
He is a two-time AL MVP and the greatest two-way player in baseball history.
With Ohtani now an unrestricted free agent, he is set to sign with any team.
But, you can assume the contract he will receive is going to be record-setting.
Ohtani is expected to decide on his new team very soon.
Whichever team wins the Ohtani sweepstakes will see their odds at a World Series improve.
Yet Jon Morosi said even if Ohtani chooses a team soon, the deal will take time to finalize.
With the amount of money being involved in this deal, the physical exam will be extensive.
He will have to pass that exam before any deal can be finalized.
On Shohei Ohtani, remember that the physical exam will be extensive for a record-setting contract.

Ohtani is coming off elbow surgery, which will force him to miss the 2024 season on the mound.
But, he will still be able to hit.
Whichever team signs Ohtani wants to make sure his elbow is healing properly and he will be able to pitch again.
His contract will be massive because you are getting an elite hitter and pitcher.
No one else in the sport can do what Ohtani can.
But, the number of injuries to his arm in his MLB career is starting to pile up.
That is why every team will want a thorough physical exam before deciding on him.
All 30 MLB teams would love to bring Ohtani on board.
But, only the ones that are willing to open up the checkbook will land him.
