The Los Angeles Chargers got their man.
This is a sad day for Michigan fans, but they have a lot to thank Jim Harbaugh for.
The program legend went back to Ann Arbor to lead them back to the mountaintop, and he left after getting them another National Championship.
That’s why his quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, shared an emotional farewell message on Twitter to thank him for everything and let him know that his journey in football is still far from done.
“The Michigan Man! Love you 4, Thank you for everything. Your story isn’t finished just yet,” McCarthy wrote.

Notably, Harbaugh isn’t the only prominent figure leaving Ann Arbor for the pros this season.
McCarthy is also expected to be taken somewhere late in the first round or early in the second.
He’s considered to be a bit of a project, and it might take a while before we see him taking an NFL field as a starter — if ever — but he’s still firmly expected to draw plenty of league-wide interest.
Unfortunately for him, that may not happen under his former mentor.
The Chargers have one of the best quarterbacks in the game in Justin Herbert, and while they could still take a flier on him to make sure to have a backup ready for the future, the chances of playing behind a young franchise cornerstone would be close to zero.
Whatever the case, whoever takes McCarthy now knows that he was taught and developed the right way by a guy who has done nothing but win football games from the very moment he decided to become a head coach.
