Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Jake Browning has been a revelation since Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending injury in Week 11.
He’s 2-1 in games he’s started with 856 total passing yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.
Browning has also completed almost 80 percent of his passes during that stretch.
With those two wins in consecutive weeks, the Bengals have a legitimate shot at the AFC playoffs with four games left in the season.
And, as Browning puts it, the team is finding its groove.
“We’re kind of hitting our stride,” Browning said on SiriusXM NFL Radio, “and it’s fun to play.”

It would take a lot for the Bengals to make the playoffs, but Browning’s performances of late has put Cincinnati back into the conversation.
The Bengals are tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, and Buffalo Bills in the AFC, but currently sit tenth in the playoff standings because of various tiebreakers.
Cincinnati players three AFC opponents in their final four games – the Steelers, Cleveland Browns, and Kansas City Chiefs.
Wins over all or any would assuredly help the Bengals’ playoff push.
And with an offense that still features top-flight talents like Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Joe Mixon, Cincinnati remains a threat to any team when they get hot.
Browning will be the deciding factor, though.
His ability to continue to play at a high level will make or break the Bengals’ postseason aspirations.
He believes, though, that his team is peaking at the right time.
