On Friday, the Miami Dolphins made a surprising move when they cut star cornerback Xavien Howard.
Howard has been a stalwart of Miami’s secondary over the past eight seasons, and during that time, he was named to the Pro Bowl four times.
Jalen Ramsey, his running mate at corner, chose to focus on the positive when he responded to the move on Twitter.
“Shid be crazy how stuff plays out sometimes but 1 thing ikno fa sho is that it was an honor teaming up with the GREATEST corner in MiamiDolphins History in my opinion,” Ramsey said.

In 13 games this season, Howard had 12 passes defended, one interception, one quarterback hit, and one tackle for loss.
While it appears he has plenty left in the tank at age 30, cutting him will save the Dolphins quite a bit of money as free agency opens up soon.
The Dolphins went 11-6 this season, but many felt it was a mirage, as they defeated only one team all season that had a winning record.
They ended up getting dismantled in the wild-card round of the playoffs by the eventual Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs 26-7 while playing in frigid conditions at Arrowhead Stadium.
Miami has arguably the league’s most explosive offense, but if they are to get to the next level and become a legitimate contender, they must improve their defense.
They ranked 22nd in points allowed, and they could use plenty of help on defense, as they could lose some players there in free agency.
On the other hand, they do have one of the league’s brightest young quarterbacks in Tua Tagovailoa and one of the game’s best wide receiver tandems in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, not to mention an exciting young running back in De’Von Achane.
