After struggling to start the year, the Cincinnati Bengals appear to be back on track.
They lost two of their first three games, but are now riding a two-game win streak.
Joe Burrow has seemingly found himself, finding Ja’Marr Chase wide open and re-establishing their connection.
After their most recent win over the Seattle Seahawks, Chase took to Instagram, commenting on a post from the Seahawks after the game according to Dov Kleiman.
Oh boy.. #Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase went to the #Seahawks page on Instagram and wrote:
“LOL HOLD THAT L” – to a picture of rookie CB Devon Witherspoon flexing on him.
The Bengals won the game but when covered by Witherspoon he made 0 catches on 2 targets.

This particular post highlighted the spectacular play of Devon Witherspoon, a budding star cornerback.
Chase wrote, “Lol Hold that L” in the comment section, indicating that he wiped the floor with Witherspoon and the Seahawks.
While Chase relished in the glory of the Bengals’ win, Kleiman was quick to point out Witherspoon’s stat line from the game.
In the two times that Chase was targeted while covered by Witherspoon, he did not record a catch.
From a statistical standpoint, it appears that Witherspoon had the last laugh over Chase, even though the Seahawks ended up losing the game.
Witherspoon has been a thorn in the side of opposing receivers all season, and Chase is the latest example of a marquee receiver that he was able to lock down.
If he can dominate a player like Chase, he should be a staple of the Seahawks’ defense for the foreseeable future.
Chase finished the game with six catches for 80 yards.
He put together a solid performance when he wasn’t being guarded by Witherspoon in what continues to be a strong season for the young receiver.
