The Philadelphia Eagles have been the frontrunners to take the No. 1 seed in the NFC for most of the 2023 NFL season, but they suddenly find themselves amid a two-game losing streak.
After getting blown out at home by the San Francisco 49ers, the Eagles lost to the Dallas Cowboys and now have questions to answer.
The team has experienced slippage on both sides of the field, particularly defensively where they’ve been poor at guarding receivers.
Offensively, Philadelphia has also experienced struggles running the football, a key ingredient in almost all their wins this season.
Although the Eagles still control their fate, the roster and coaching staff are well aware that things need to change for them to get back on track.
Team captain Jason Kelce talked about the mood amongst the players and his overall message to the team via the Eagles’ official YouTube account.
Kelce said that practices have been good and full of energy and that the players are working hard to correct things and continue to get better.
The center also said that the coaching has been great, but will be looking to see if everything that’s been said and done during practice translates to Monday against the Seattle Seahawks.
Despite a pair of losses, Philadelphia has the talent and depth to fix things and get back in the win column.
The team certainly hasn’t looked like its dominant self recently, but it would be foolish to write them off especially because they’ve got a great opportunity to pick up a win against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 15.
