The Philadelphia Eagles have looked just as motivated as any team during the 2023 NFL season as they’ve continued to churn out wins through five weeks.
The Eagles picked up their fifth consecutive win this past week when they beat the Los Angeles Rams, and are poised to keep their winning streak going as they hit the road to take on the New York Jets.
Offensively, Philadelphia has started to find its way a bit after a slow start to the year.
Jalen Hurts has gone back to using his legs to extend drives, but he’s also been just as deadly throwing the football to his dynamic pass-catching corps of A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert.
However, the real stars of the offense have been the offensive line as they’ve been able to protect Hurts and create running lanes for their backfield.
The heart of the O-line is Jason Kelce who remains one of the best centers in the NFL and he is set to break the franchise record for most consecutive starts when he suits up against the Jets via Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Philadelphia center Jason Kelce will make his 145th straight start Sunday and set the franchise record for the most consecutive starts in Eagles’ history. He will pass offensive tackle Jon Runyan, who played 144 straight games for the Eagles from 2000-2008. Asked about it this…

It’s a massive accomplishment for Kelce who has been a stalwart at the position and a large reason why the Eagles have been able to remain as successful as they have been.
Kelce is definitely one of the players younger centers should be looking up to as he’s got everything down from a technique and leadership standpoint.
He and his family must be so proud of the feat, though the veteran is still prioritizing a win.
