The Washington Commanders have the No. 2 pick.
And while there are a few people who believe they should use it to get Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels is believed to be their pick.
That has been the case for months now, and rightfully so, as Daniels has been considered the second-best player in the class, not to mention a more NFL-ready prospect than Maye and a perfect fit for Kliff Kingsbury’s offense.
Nonetheless, there have also been multiple reports stating that Daniels doesn’t want to play for the Commanders.
Those reports claim that he would rather be reunited with HC Antonio Pierce with the Las Vegas Raiders or play for Kevin O’Connell with the Minnesota Vikings.
That’s why Jonathan Adams of Heavy Sports asked him if he would be okay with suiting up for the Commanders, and he didn’t hesitate to say he’d be 100% on board with that.

We’ve seen this kind of thing happen over and over.
Someone starts leaking information to hope a player slips in the draft so their team is in a position to get him.
This is a trick as old as time, and while it’s worked at times, it would be shocking to see the Commanders pass on him.
Daniels is a special talent who’s drawn comparisons to Robert Griffin III and Lamar Jackson.
Whether the Commanders are his preferred destination or not, he’s going to have to perform and earn his stripes like everybody else in the league.
