It is pretty fair to say that the NFL Draft is the wildest part of the NFL season outside of when games are actually played.
So, it isn’t totally uncommon when a top player isn’t given assurances from a team that is likely to select him.
LSU Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels told ESPN’s Get Up that he has not been given assurances that he will be selected by them at No. 2 overall.
“I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know when I’m gonna hear my name called or by who,” Daniels said Thursday morning during his media appearance.

In all likelihood, the Washington Commanders appear to be the most likely landing spot for Daniels.
The only reason why they wouldn’t take him is if the Chicago Bears went crazy ahead of them and moved off of Caleb Williams.
Or, maybe an unknown team comes out of nowhere and offers Washington a really intriguing trade offer.
But Daniels has the ability to do everything that Williams can do inside and outside of the pocket.
He is a multi-dimensional talent that can really hoist his team up on his shoulders if need be.
The former Arizona State transfer threw for over 3,800 yards and 40 touchdowns while also rushing for over 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023.
With the Commanders in search of their best quarterback since seemingly Super Bowl champion Doug Williams, Daniels could be the next great one.
Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels are the two best quarterback prospects and should go No. 1 and No. 2 overall respectively.
