LSU Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels quickly ascended to the top of all the mock draft boards last season and now appears to be a lock to go in the top 5, perhaps as high as No. 2 overall.
All eyes will be on him today during LSU’s Pro Day, but the most important part of the day might be what happens afterwards off the field.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported that Daniels will have meetings with six NFL teams right after his Pro Day, including the Patriots, Commanders, Giants, Vikings, Broncos, and Raiders.

The Patriots, Commanders, Raiders, and Giants all have their head coaches in attendance at LSU’s Pro Day, so it’s fair to assume they’ll be heavily involved in those meetings.
The top six picks in the draft are currently a mess, with so many teams in need of a quarterback and so many big prospects ascending to the top of these mock drafts.
Daniels has long been linked to the Commanders at No. 2 or the Patriots at No. 3, but Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy has been skyrocketing up the draft boards and could sneak into the top 3, which would cause either Daniels or Drake Maye to fall potentially out of the top 4 or 5 slots.
Daniels is viewed as the most dynamic of the big QB prospects, as he ran for 1,134 yards and ten touchdowns during his Heisman campaign last year.
Six meetings is a lot in one day.
You have to wonder which team will have the privilege of taking him out to dinner, as a couple of steaks and lobster tails could give a team the inside track to land his services.
