The Dallas Cowboys couldn’t do anything against the run on Sunday.
James Cook had the best game of his career and one of the best games by a running back in recent memory, rushing for a whopping 179 yards on just 25 carries (7.2 yards per carry).
Cook broke tackles left and right on every carry; Josh Allen only needed to complete seven passes to lead his team to a 31-10 win.
With that in mind, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on 103.5 The Fan that the team needs to do a better job of tackling (via Jon Machota).
“The good news I would say is that this is correctable from week to week,” Jones said.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on Dallas’ poor tackling in its 31-10 loss at Buffalo: “The good news I would say is that this is correctable from week to week. We have the talent. … We can specifically address what beat us in Buffalo (for this week’s game at Miami).”

Jones stated that the good part about this is that it’s a correctable and fixable issue, and he believes they have the personnel to make the needed adjustments vs. the Miami Dolphins.
Notably, he better be right, as the Dolphins currently boast one of the most explosive running-back duos in the league.
Raheem Mostert and rookie De’Von Achane have proven to be one of the most electrifying tandems in the game.
The Dolphins will likely have to rely heavily on the running game if Tyreek Hill continues to be sidelined and nursing an ankle injury.
The Cowboys currently control their own destiny and are in sole possession of the No. 1 spot in the NFC East Division, but with the Philadelphia Eagles still in the hunt, they cannot afford another setback, especially against a potential Super Bowl contender.
