Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was visibly dismayed when he watched his beloved team fall apart in the Wild Card Round against the Green Bay Packers.
The Cowboys were one of the best teams during the 2023 NFL season and it seemed like they were poised for a deep playoff run as they had home-field advantage against the Packers.
However, Dallas’ vaunted defense had no answers for Jordan Love and Aaron Jones, while Dak Prescott seemed to wither under the bright lights.
Despite the disappointing end to their season, the Cowboys should once again be one of the few Super Bowl contenders in the 2024 NFL season because of the strength of their roster.
Dallas is fortunate enough to have their key players around for next season, but Jones won’t sit idly by during the offseason.
Jones is 81 years old, but he remains committed to building the best possible team he possibly can via Jon Machota of The Athletic.
“I’m gonna be around here a long time. We got a lot of years ahead of us,” Jones said.

Most owners normally start thinking about retirement, but Jones is a football lifer who remains obsessed with claiming another Super Bowl title.
It’s been decades since the Cowboys won the Lombardi Trophy, but the current group has it what it takes to compete with the rest of the league.
Their postseason letdowns have almost become an annual occurrence that fans dread, but it feels like it’s only a matter of time until Jones and the rest of the franchise figure things out.
