While the New York Jets are expected to bring back most of their staffers, it seems like none of them were that safe.
According to a report by Connor Hughes of SNY, RB coach Taylor Embree won’t return next season.
Hughes adds that Embree was instrumental in Breece Hall’s early-career development.
Sources: #Jets RB coach Taylor Embree will not be returning to the team next year.
Embree helped develop Breece Hall into one of the game’s best backs despite inconsistent line play. Was one of Robert Saleh’s untouchables when Nathaniel Hackett was hired.

He also stated that he was one of Robert Saleh’s ‘untouchables’ on the staff when the team brought Nathaniel Hackett in as offensive coordinator last season.
The 35-year-old coach has been with the organization since 2021.
He got his first job in the league as a defensive assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016.
He was then an offensive quality control coach with the San Francisco 49ers from 2017-19 and later became the Colorado Buffaloes tight ends coach in 2020.
A report by Josina Anderson of CBS Sports states that the Jets have recently met with Duce Staley as a potential replacement.
Staley had stints with the Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, and Carolina Panthers as their running backs coach, and he was fired mid-season when the Panthers cut ties with HC Frank Reich as well.
Nonetheless, they could face some steep competition if they decide to pursue him, as he also met with the Cleveland Browns, who are also in the hunt for an RB coach after parting ways with Stump Mitchell.
The Jets have a subpar offensive line but one of the best and most promising young running backs in the game, so there should be plenty of candidates looking forward to replacing Embree.
