The New York Jets might have a familiar face back on the field next season.
They released WR Corey Davis on March 14, shortly after he applied for reinstatement to the league.
Still, it seems like there’s a big chance he’ll be back in New York in 2024.
As reported by NFL reporter Dov Kleiman, HC Robert Saleh recently said that he’s been ‘in regular contract’ with Davis, leaving the door wide open for his return.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of the Jets’ interest in getting Davis back in Gang Green.
It would be an easy call for Nathaniel Hackett’s offense, as the Jets would keep on adding bodies and depth to a much-improved wide receivers corps that now includes former Los Angeles Chargers star Mike Williams.
Last year, Davis announced that he was ready to walk away from the league, but his reinstatement earlier in March turned a lot of heads, and the Jets would be the most logical destination for him.
A 6-foot-3 specimen, he excelled for the Tennessee Titans for four years before signing with the Jets back in 2021.
He was a perennial pass-catching threat at MetLife Stadium, logging 66 receptions for 1,028 yards and six touchdowns.
Needless to say, those numbers should only go significantly up with Aaron Rodgers behind center, even if he’s not going to be the focal point of the passing game by any means.
The Jets have a rising star in Garrett Wilson and could add another potential generational player in Brock Bowers with the No. 10 pick in the NFL Draft.
