New York Jets fans got a nice, little gift from their All-Pro cornerback in Sauce Gardner on Thursday morning.
The soon-to-be third-year defensive back tweeted about his own hopes for his future in New York.
“I wanna be a New York Jet for the rest of my career,” Gardner tweeted.
I wanna be a New York Jet for the rest of my career.

If Gardner was a Jet for the rest of his career, the team and the fan base would greatly benefit from it.
The former Cincinnati Bearcat leaped onto the scene after getting drafted fourth overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.
He has started his career with back-to-back First-Team All-Pro nods and two consecutive Pro Bowl appearances.
In 2022, he led the league in pass deflections as a rookie (20) and recorded two interceptions, which led to him being voted Defensive Rookie of the Year.
In 2023, he was targeted by opposing quarterbacks just 55 times and recorded 11 pass deflections.
If he has another incredible season in 2024, look for him to be in line for a major contract extension.
Despite being just 23 years of age, he is a true leader on this team and a real cornerstone.
It will be up to him, Aaron Rodgers, C.J. Mosley, Garrett Wilson, Breece Hall, Jermaine Johnson, and Haason Reddick to be the leaders of Gang Green this season.
If healthy, the sky is the absolute limit for the team.
That is due to the attitude and hunger for greatness that players like Gardner show day in and day out.
