The New York Jets have found themselves in an interesting position heading into the back half of the season.
After losing Aaron Rodgers, they were not expected to compete given that Zach Wilson is their quarterback.
However, Wilson has helped lead them to a 4-3 record, winning their last three games.
Now, the Jets are well within the playoff hunt, even without Rodgers.
The Jets were one of the most active teams during the offseason, adding several marquee players to their roster.
Although they invested heavily in their wide receiver room, there is always room for improvement.
The Jets’ GM, Joe Douglas, was recently asked about the Jets’ plans at the trade deadline, and if they tried to add any receivers.
While it appears that the Jets might have been in the market to add a few players, they weren’t able to strike a deal.
Joe Douglas is asked if the Jets made any calls on the wide receiver market:

With the trade deadline passed, the Jets are now forced to move forward with the players that are currently on their roster.
Their wide receiver room is led by Garrett Wilson, followed by Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb.
They are depleted at the position after the recent departure of Mecole Hardman, although, they did not use him as much as he would have liked.
With a smaller group of options to choose from, Garrett Wilson receives a bulk of the receiving work, giving opposing teams a good idea of what the Jets’ game plan is.
Moving forward, they might have to get more creative about their schemes and have a more even distribution of wealth.
