The New York Jets had their sights set on the Super Bowl in the preseason.
With the addition of Aaron Rodgers, everyone was talking about how good this team could be.
But, once Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles four plays into the season, all their hope faded away.
The Jets have been starting backup quarterback Zach Wilson every game since then, and he has not been good.
Still, with a record of 4-4 through eight games, the Jets are in a position where they could potentially make the playoffs.
However, their offense needs to improve if they plan on making any noise late in the season.
Even though Wilson is struggling, the Jets’ offensive line is not doing him any favors.
The Jets have struggled up front all year, and they just suffered another significant blow to that unit.
According to Ian Rapoport, offensive lineman Billy Turner suffered a broken bone in his hand.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh said the injury is “concerning.”
Another question on the #Jets offensive line: Sources say OL Billy Turner suffered a broken bone in his hand and his status is up in the air for this week. Coach Robert Saleh described the injury as “concerning.” But he hasn’t been ruled out yet.

The Jets simply cannot afford to lose a starting offensive lineman, as they already struggle enough up front.
If Turner is out, things will only get more difficult.
New York is set to face the Las Vegas Raiders this weekend in a game where their offensive line will be tested by star pass rusher Maxx Crosby.
The Jets’ most efficient way of moving the ball has been via the run, so if their run blocking can hold up, expect running back Breece Hall to have a big game.
However, having Turner in the lineup will help to further Hall’s efforts.
