Throughout the NFL offseason, no team in the league got more attention for what they might be able to accomplish during the 2023 regular season than the New York Jets.
After being sick and tired of failing to live up to expectations offensively, the Jets made the bold move to pull off a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers for superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The trade was thought to be a game-changer for the Jets as they now had the missing piece to the championship puzzle, but only one series in his time with the Jets, Rodgers went down with what was thought to be a season-ending Achilles injury.
That injury derailed the season for the Jets, as head coach Robert Saleh and company were never able to recover from not having the four-time NFL MVP under center to lead the offense in New York.
As a result of being without Rodgers, the Jets have only 10 offensive touchdowns on the season, which is the least through 12 games over the past three decades in the league via NFL on CBS.

Fortunately for the Jets, Rodgers may be nearing his return to the field, but at this point, it might be too late for the veteran superstar to come in and save this team while making a push for a spot in the NFL playoffs.
Even though Rodgers is making a miraculous recovery from the Achilles injury, he may elect not to return if the team is out of the playoff picture, which seems to be how things are trending for the Jets.
