The New York Jets were the most talked-about team in the offseason by a significant margin.
After the trade for Aaron Rodgers, they were at the forefront of the news cycle more often than not.
Expectations were at an all-time high in New York, with the fans already thinking about parades and a Super Bowl.
Unfortunately, hope was only there for four plays, as Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles one drive into the season.
With that in mind, team owner Woody Johnson shared a rather bizarre analogy when asked about that situation, comparing it to getting his arm chopped off (via Brian Costello).
“What does it feel like having your arm chopped off?” Johnson said.

Well, that’s one graphic and ugly way to put it, but it actually makes sense.
Rodgers’ injury derailed the entire campaign for the Jets.
The team refused to pursue a veteran quarterback in a trade or free agency, sticking with Zach Wilson, and that proved to be the wrong choice almost right away.
Their defense was nothing short of spectacular, but a subpar offensive line and mediocre quarterback play set them back again.
Still, the team was reluctant to get an upgrade at the most crucial position in the game.
Ironically, the Cleveland Browns punched their postseason ticket against them with Joe Flacco under center, giving them a glimpse of what they could’ve had instead.
Hopefully, Rodgers will be able to stay on the field next season, as this team and these fans have been through a lot.
