No one in the NFL doubted that Joe Burrow could win the MVP award this season.
However, considering how poorly he started off the season, it seemed like a big stretch.
But Burrow has been on a tear over the past four weeks, throwing for ten touchdowns against two picks, completing over 70% of his passes, and leading the Cincinnati Bengals right back to contention.
That’s why Burrow has now established himself as a potential MVP candidate, with a promising second half of the season ahead of him.
However, when asked about that, Burrow admitted that as much as he would love to win MVP, that’s not No. 1 on his list, as he’s only thinking about a Super Bowl, via ProFootballTalk.
“Everything has to go right for you to win that award,” Burrow said. “You usually have to have the best record. A lot of things play into it. I’d like to win one eventually. But it’s not No. 1 on my list for sure.”

Burrow has the talent to be considered the best quarterback in the league, or at least top three, and the MVP award has usually been given to quarterbacks.
Also, if he’s able to lead the Bengals to a 12-5 record or something like that after starting the season 1-3, then, by all means, he should be the leading candidate to take home the award.
Then again, he was right on point.
All that matters is winning a Super Bowl, and with him coming so close to the big price twice in his young career already, there must not be anything in this world that he wants more than that right now.
Will he be able to pull it off this time?
He definitely has the supporting cast to do it, so we’ll have to wait and see.
