The Cincinnati Bengals have significantly increased their standing within the AFC over the past several years.
This has been directly correlated with the rise of Joe Burrow, who has brought new life to the organization.
Burrow has been a breath of fresh air to a team that was swimming in mediocrity for years.
He has already accomplished a lot in his young career, including an impressive record against some of the AFC’s best quarterbacks.
As CBS’ Doug Clawson recently pointed out, Burrow is now 5-1 against Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen, the best record of any quarterback against this duo.
Joe Burrow is 5-1 in his career vs Patrick Mahomes (3-1) and Josh Allen (2-0)
That’s the best record by any QB vs the pair (min. 5 starts)

He has shown that he can perform well in big games against some of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Despite his impressive record against these two, however, Burrow does not have a Super Bowl title attributed to his name.
He has made it to back-to-back AFC Championships, which is not a small feat.
At a certain point in his career, his record against any particular player will not matter if he’s unable to bring home a Super Bowl title.
Winning seems to be the only thing that matters in the eyes of sports pundits and television announcers.
Without a ring, Burrow remains with a chip on his shoulder.
This is a similar sentiment towards Dak Prescott, who has played well during the regular season but failed to get it done in the postseason.
Can Burrow keep the narrative going throughout the year, both by playing well against the AFC and making it back to the Super Bowl?
