One of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this season is, without a doubt, the Cincinnati Bengals, who came into the 2023 campaign with high hopes of competing for a Super Bowl title.
Even though superstar quarterback Joe Burrow had suffered a calf strain early in training camp with the Bengals, Cincinnati was still expected to be a force to be reckoned with once the season got underway, even if the perennial Pro Bowler was unable to get on the field to start the year.
Unfortunately, Burrow has been able to play, but he hasn’t played well at all during the first four weeks of the season, with the Bengals sporting an ugly record of 1-3.
The team’s only win came against the Los Angeles Rams during Week 3, in which the Bengals barely came out on top by three points.
In Week 5, the Bengals will try to take advantage of another NFC West opponent, as they’ll go head-to-head against the Arizona Cardinals, which is a team that has been better than expected without star quarterback Kyler Murray under center.
Burrow knows the importance of getting the win over the Cardinals, as he’s calling it a “must-win” game, via Dov Kleiman.
Update: #Bengals QB Joe Burrow says the Week 5 game against the #Cardinals feels like a “Must win game” for Cincy’s season.
“Gotta win,” Burrow told reporters. “Whatever it takes. Doesn’t have to be pretty, but gotta come out with a W.”

Along with Burrow unable to play at the level he’s used to this season, superstar wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has grown increasingly frustrated over the last few weeks, as he claims he’s always open during these games and simply isn’t getting the football.
This is an interesting turn of events as Chase and Burrow are close, but this seems to be a direct shot at the quarterback, which isn’t a good sign for the rest of the season.
