The Cincinnati Bengals entered Week 5’s matchup with the Arizona Cardinals in desperate need of a lifeline.
Their season could still have some promise with a win, while a loss would have devastated their playoff chances.
While the Bengals’ road to the postseason is still bleak, beating the Cardinals was a step in the right direction.
After the game, Joe Burrow was asked about the teams’ performance by FOX Sports sideline reporter, Laura OkMin.
Burrow said, “We still left some yards and points out on the field, so we gotta correct that, but it was a good start.”

As Burrow mentioned, the Bengals may have left a few points on the field.
However, this was the Bengals’ highest team total of the season, putting up 34 points in this win.
Their previous high was in Week 2 against the Baltimore Ravens, scoring 24 points.
This was a step in the right direction for Burrow and the Bengals, especially given Burrow’s recent health concerns.
He hasn’t played up to his previously set standards, which has concerned Bengals fans.
Burrow put a lot of questions to bed with this win, throwing for 317 yards and three touchdowns.
Can the Bengals keep their feet on the gas for the remainder of the season?
Their next three games are against the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and Buffalo Bills.
Each one of these teams has a winning record, providing what should be a tough test for Burrow’s Bengals.
If the Bengals want any chance of a playoff berth, winning two of these three games is a must.
