The Cleveland Browns head into the postseason with one of the most experienced playoff quarterbacks in modern history in Joe Flacco.
He joined the Browns this season after Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury and led Cleveland to the No. 5 seed after he went 4-1 in his five starts.
And while his regular-season success was huge for the Browns, Flacco has been sensational in the playoffs as well – specifically in the Wild Card round.
Flacco has never lost in his five Wild Card games during his career, per NFL GameDay, which includes the season he won the Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens in 2012, and ranks ahead of NFL legends like Brett Favre, Dan Marino, and Tom Brady.

Meanwhile, Flacco will face one of the least experienced teams in the league in the Houston Texans in the first round.
Houston locked up the AFC South and home-field advantage for the Wild Card round, but have a first-time head coach in DeMeco Ryans and a rookie quarterback under center in C.J. Stroud.
Flacco’s playoff success is notable but also a bit outdated, as he last started a postseason game in 2015.
But his veteran experience is crucial for a Browns team that hasn’t seen that much success in recent years.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski led Cleveland to the playoffs in 2020, but poor roster management and injuries derailed the Browns since then before Flacco and a good defense brought them back to the playoffs.
Flacco now has a chance to add to his legacy in the Wild Card round, this time with a completely different team.
