The Pittsburgh Steelers have themselves a stud in second-year cornerback Joey Porter Jr.
The son of the Steelers legend could very well be on his way to becoming a legend in his own right.
After an outstanding rookie season in 2023, Porter recently proclaimed himself the best cornerback in the league.
“There are a lot of good defensive backs in this league. Nobody was doing what I was doing going against WR1s the entire year and locking them down,” Porter said to the Pittsburgh media, via Ari Meirov.

In his rookie season last year, the former three-time All-Big Ten cornerback really made an impact for Mike Tomlin and Co.
He played in all 17 games and started in 11 of them.
No. 24 recorded 10 pass deflections and allowed an opposing completion percentage of 47.6%.
He is clearly a true cornerstone piece of the defense in Pittsburgh.
There are stars at every single level of the entire unit.
T.J. Watt is arguably the best edge-rusher in the league.
Alex Highsmith led the league in forced fumbles two seasons ago.
Cam Heyward is the anchor in the middle of the defensive line.
All-Pro linebacker Patrick Queen is one of the best defensive signal-callers in the league.
On the backend, Porter and All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick man the boundary and the center of the field.
It is hard to say Porter is the best cornerback in the game because there are so many experienced and established corners.
But, he is well on his way to becoming a star with his attitude and skills.
