The Houston Astros have had a strange season when it comes to home/road splits.
Most teams are substantially better when they play at home.
For some reason, that has not been the case with the Astros.
They had a 39-42 record at home this year but were 51-30 on the road.
Their home struggles and road success continued in the playoffs.
Houston is 1-3 at home and 3-0 on the road.
The Astros trail 2-1 in the ALCS, but luckily for them the next two games are on the road.
Facing the Texas Rangers, Globe Life Field has been kind to Astros second baseman Jose Altuve.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, Altuve has eight home runs at Globe Life Field this season.
That is tied for the most home runs in a season at a visiting ballpark in the Divisional Era.
Including his home run last night, Jose Altuve has 8 home runs at Globe Life Field this season.

Altuve has been one of the best hitters in baseball for a long time.
Even at the age of 33, he continues to hit at a high level.
Also, the older he has gotten the more he has tapped into his power.
In three of his last four full seasons, he has at least 28 home runs.
It helps that he gets to play in a hitter’s park in Houston, but it is clear he loves hitting on the road.
For the Astros to make it back to the World Series, they need to win at least one more road game.
With the way this season has gone for them, they have to like their chances.
