Coming into the second round of the NFL playoffs, the Detroit Lions are favored to win for a second week in a row, with Jared Goff and company playing host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field.
With the Lions being the better all-around team with the more experienced quarterback in these playoff situations, all signs point to Detroit advancing to the NFC Championship Game to take on the San Francisco 49ers or Green Bay Packers with a chance to make it to the Super Bowl.
Ahead of the playoff clash with the Buccaneers, Joy Taylor of FOX Sports makes a bold statement about Goff, which is exactly right on the money when considering the facts via Speak On FS1.
“Jared Goff has played in a Super Bowl. How is Jared Goff, not number two?” Taylor said in regards to quarterbacks that should be the most trusted in playoffs.

With Patrick Mahomes winning two Super Bowl titles with the Kansas City Chiefs and putting his team in a position to make another run at a title and potentially become a dynasty in the process, there’s no question that he’s the most trusted quarterback in the playoffs right now due to his track record.
Goff, however, is not viewed as a successful quarterback in this league despite having a trip to the Super Bowl under his belt and leading the Lions to the franchise’s first win in the playoffs in many years.
Even though it was impressive to see Goff get the best of his former team in the first round of the postseason, he’ll be put to the test this week once again against a Buccaneers team with nothing to lose.
