Last season was a disaster for the Chicago Bears, and it ended with them finishing with a 3-14 record, which was the worst mark in the NFL.
As a result, they received the No. 1 pick in the draft and the opportunity to draft a franchise quarterback in either Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud.
But they instead traded the pick to the Carolina Panthers, which was in effect a vote of confidence in QB Justin Fields.
Now in his third season, Fields hasn’t shown any real improvement, and the Bears are saddled with a 3-7 record, which puts them in last place in the NFC North.
Joy Taylor said on “Speak” that the Bears have seen enough from him and that it’s time for them to move on from him.

In six games this year, Fields has completed only 61.7 percent of his pass attempts and has thrown for 1,201 yards, 11 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Even his rushing numbers are down — last season, he ran for an excellent 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns, but so far this season, he’s at only 237 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
He has been out due to injury the last four games, and without him, Chicago has gone 2-2 compared to 1-5 with him.
Year three is such a big year for young quarterbacks, and most of the time, when such a player hasn’t blossomed by his third year, it’s safe to say he won’t ever become a quality player.
At this point, it’s also safe to say the Bears made a big mistake by trading the No. 1 pick in April’s draft.
