Heading into a big matchup against the rival Philadelphia Eagles, the Dallas Cowboys are currently sitting with a 5-2 record after their first seven games of the 2023 season.
Guys like quarterback Dak Prescott, pass rusher Demarcus Lawrence, and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb have received a lot of praise for the Cowboys being able to come away with a win in five of their first seven matchups this year.
But FanDuel’s Kay Adams believes a bunch of credit is deserved for Dallas’ current kicker, rookie Brandon Aubrey (via Up & Adams on Twitter).

Adams mentioned that Aubrey has failed to miss any of his 18 field-goal attempts this season, which is tied for the most kicks made by a rookie to start a career in NFL history.
Adams also shared the interesting bit of info that Aubrey is a 28-year-old rookie, which is due in part to his professional sports career beginning as a soccer player in the MLS.
Eventually, his journey led him to getting signed by the Cowboys earlier this year, and that decision has clearly paid off for Dallas.
Now, the Cowboys have been burned by plenty of kickers in the past, so their fanbase is always going to have some skepticism when it comes to the position.
But with Aubrey, he’s been as close to a sure thing as possible whenever Dallas has sent him out on the field to attempt a field goal or an extra point.
