Keenan Allen is entering an interesting season for himself.
The 11-year veteran is entering the final year of his contract, which is now owned by the Chicago Bears, who traded for him earlier this offseason.
The former Comeback Player of the Year spoke recently with the Chicago media about his extension talks with the team.
“I’ll let the play speak for itself…If they offer me something that I like, then we’ll go from there…The market just got reset,” Allen smirkingly said.

It will be very interesting to watch a great player come into a completely new situation in a new city in a contract year.
Allen is coming off of the best season of his career.
Despite playing just 13 games for the Chargers, he recorded a career-high 108 receptions for a career-high 1,243 yards and 7 touchdowns.
But, that familiarity that he had for over a decade with the Chargers is now gone.
His rookie quarterback in Caleb Williams, who is really talented, hasn’t played a down in the NFL yet.
This Bears team has struggled on offense throughout their history outside of the Walter Payton years.
It will be interesting to see if Allen can still produce at 32 years of age with a relatively inexperienced quarterback and offense.
The Bears probably need to be good too in an effort to keep Allen around.
This is a player that hasn’t won a Super Bowl yet.
For him to want to play for the Bears beyond 2024, he will need to produce and the team is going to need to win.
