The biggest question surrounding the Minnesota Vikings this offseason is whether or not they can get a contract extension done with All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson.
Head coach Kevin O’Connell recently appeared on Up & Adams to speak about a potential extension for his No. 1 wide receiver.
“I know everything is going to get worked out there,” O’Connell told host Kay Adams.

Jefferson is arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL.
The three-time All-Pro is off to the best start of any receiver in NFL history.
His 5,899 receiving yards are the most for any receiver in his first four career seasons.
He has recorded 1,400 receiving yards in three of his first four years.
The year that he didn’t, which was last year, he still recorded 1,074 yards on 68 receptions despite missing 7 games.
He has nearly 400 receptions over his first four years, which is absolutely remarkable.
His 2022 season was the best of his young career.
He led the NFL in receptions (128), receiving yards (1,809), and yards-per-game (106.4).
Look for the Vikings to get a deal done as soon as possible so that first-round quarterback J.J. McCarthy can start to build a connection with the former LSU star.
Not only will McCarthy need to build a connection with Jefferson, but he will need to build a strong rapport with rising star Jordan Addison, Pro Bowl tight end T.J. Hockenson, and new Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones.
However, the most important piece of this whole puzzle is Jefferson.
If the Vikings get an extension done, everyone wins.
