Kirk Cousins has been known for a few different things throughout his time as an NFL quarterback.
For years, he has been the quarterback famous for screaming “You like that!” after an emotional comeback win when he played in Washington.
As the quarterback of the Minnesota Vikings, Cousins has been known for a lack of primetime success.
However, he seems to be growing out of that phase as evidenced by the Vikings’ recent Monday Night Football win over the San Francisco 49ers.
After this win, head coach Kevin O’Connell gave Cousins heaps of praise according to reporter Kevin Seifert.
One of the things O’Connell said about Cousins was that he was “locked in,” especially on Jordan Addison’s second touchdown reception.
Kevin O’Connell said he could talk for a long time about Kirk Cousins, who spoke to the Vikings offense Sunday and implored it to turn it loose and meet the moment of facing a top NFL team in prime time. Cousins was “locked in,” O’Connell said, including audible on 2nd Addison TD

Cousins is without Justin Jefferson for at least four weeks, as he is sidelined due to a hamstring injury.
Addison, a rookie receiver, has already seen significant work in his absence.
He was called upon in a few big moments in this primetime game, including a long touchdown reception that he stole away from a defender.
O’Connell was very happy about this outcome, as was seemingly not a scripted play from his offense.
Rather, it was a sign that Cousins is continuing to develop as a strong passer in this offense, even without an All-Pro receiver like Jefferson.
This game showed life for a Vikings team that is now on a two-game win streak.
At one point this season, many thought the Vikings were depleted and demoralized, ready to throw in the towel.
Is this victory over the 49ers the confidence-booster this team needed to continue?
