The Indianapolis Colts are in the driver’s seat for a playoff berth but will have to do it once more without one of their best players.
The team has been without star running back Jonathan Taylor for the past two weeks after he underwent thumb surgery, and they won’t get him back for a Week 15 matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Indianapolis ruled Taylor out for the game, according to the 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov, and will start back-up running back Zack Moss once more.

This is frustrating for the Colts, but not unexpected.
The original timetable for Taylor’s return was three-to-five weeks and he had a chance to return before the end of the season.
With this news, Taylor’s looking less and less likely to come back unless the Colts make the playoffs.
It’s been a disappointing season for Taylor after he missed the first four games of the year with an ankle injury.
He returned in Week 5 and eventually regained his starting role in Week 7.
Taylor rushed 86 times for 377 yards and four touchdowns from Weeks 7 to 12, during which the Colts went 3-2.
Indianapolis will turn once more to Moss, who still leads the team with 751 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 173 attempts.
Moss started the past two weeks for Taylor, but managed just 79 scoreless yards on 32 carries with six receptions for 34 yards as well.
The Colts have upcoming games against the Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, and Houston Texans.
Indianapolis currently holds the AFC’s final wildcard slot, but remains tied with five other teams at 7-6.
