Heading into the NFL offseason, the top priority for the Las Vegas Raiders was figuring out whether Antonio Pierce was the right person for the job of being head coach of the storied franchise moving forward.
Even though there were many viable candidates to consider, like Jim Harbaugh, Mike Vrabel, and Bill Belichick, longtime team owner Mark Davis decided to listen to his players, who all seemed to want Pierce to get the full-time gig as the leader on the sideline.
With Pierce getting the job as the head coach moving forward with Davis removing the interim tag, the Raiders have been hard at work trying to fill out his coaching staff, especially since Tom Telesco is now the team’s new general manager.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Kliff Kingsbury, who has been linked to the Raiders recently, is now the new offensive coordinator in Las Vegas.
Raiders are expected to hire former Cardinals’ head coach Kliff Kingsbury as their offensive coordinator, per league sources.

Before Pierce was officially hired as the team’s head coach, Kingsbury was rumored to be linked to the Raiders as the offensive coordinator if the team retained Pierce.
Now, it seems that the rumor was right on the money.
The former Arizona Cardinals head coach has landed the job as the offensive coordinator in Las Vegas, which is a substantial upgrade at the position.
Kingsbury spent last season with the University of Southern California, helping mentor potential No. 1 overall pick and star quarterback Caleb Williams.
With Kingsbury in the fold, the Raiders seem to be prioritizing getting better offensively, which will make things interesting in terms of who the team pursues as the quarterback next season and beyond.
