After suffering their first loss of the 2023 season to the Indianapolis Colts last week, the Baltimore Ravens returned to the field on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns with something to prove.
Not only did the Ravens want to let the Browns know that they are the dominant team in the AFC North, but they also wanted to let the world know that Baltimore is a team that’s going to contend in 2023.
The Ravens wound up delivering a beatdown to Cleveland this week, and after their win, Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson described his team’s laser focus on the goal that they were hoping to accomplish on Sunday.
“When we’re locked in and focused on assignments, we put points on the board. We’ve just got to stay locked in, and we’ll have more drives with touchdowns.” Jackson said.
“How locked-in are you?”

The Ravens cruised to an easy 28-3 win over Cleveland on Sunday thanks in part to an excellent performance from Jackson.
Against the Browns, Jackson threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 27 yards and two more scores.
To be fair, Cleveland was without starting quarterback Deshaun Watson on Sunday, so the game could have turned out much differently if he were on the field for the Browns.
However, Jackson and the rest of his Baltimore teammates made sure to take advantage of the situation, and they didn’t give Cleveland any opportunities to think that they could win on Sunday.
With the victory, the Ravens improved their record to 3-1, and they’ll be taking that record on the road again next week to take on a frisky Pittsburgh Steelers team.
The Steelers lost by 24 points to the Houston Texans on Sunday, so they’ll be entering their matchup against Baltimore with something to prove.
