With only a handful of games left in the 2023 NFL regular season for teams around the league, three to be exact, the race for the NFL MVP award is coming down to the wire, with two candidates heading in opposite directions in Week 15.
Coming into Week 15, the most anticipated matchup was the Dallas Cowboys going up against Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium, with Dak Prescott and company wanting to make a statement against one of the better teams in the AFC.
Prescott was arguably the favorite to win MVP coming into this matchup, but that won’t be the case on Monday morning, especially after what Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers did to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Former Philadelphia Eagles star running back LeSean McCoy couldn’t help but take to Twitter to take a shot at Prescott for failing to show up against the Bills.
“MVP MVP ain’t no way the MCP got 82 yards n the 4th,” McCoy tweeted.

The Cowboys couldn’t do anything offensively on Sunday on the road against the Bills, with Prescott having one of the worst games of the season thus far, as he threw for only 134 yards on 21 completions with an interception and without a touchdown pass.
It won’t get any easier for Prescott and company next week when the Cowboys go on the road again against the Miami Dolphins, which will be another tall task for both the offense and the defense.
It’ll be interesting to see if the Cowboys can bounce back in Week 16 against a very good Dolphins team and if Prescott can get back in the MVP conversation.
